Angels fluttered their wings and gold dust landed on LIFT

LIFT is so very fortunate to have Angels that love what we do!

One of our volunteer teachers anonymously donated $10,000 to LIFT last week to buy new GED books!

Yesterday the Tincy and Vance Miller Family donated $19,000 to LIFT from the proceeds of the Vance C. Miller, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament.

All that gold dust is making me giddy! Thank you LIFT Angels for supporting our adult learners and our community by offering the gift of reading to those that need it most.

KERA and LIFT...did you know...

KERA, Dallas' public television station and LIFT share the same birth year....1961! And, KERA had 'live' reading classes for adults taught by the women of the National Council of Jewish Women who founded LIFT. Pat Peiser, one of LIFT's founding NCJW members, remembers the morning and afternoon classes where anybody with a television could tune in to take reading classes. As a history buff, I just love recognizing these connections. Happy 50th Birthday KERA. Happy 50th Birthday LIFT. Two fantastic educational institutions still serving the North Texas community.
